Draft · 7 October 2026

Terms

These are draft terms for a product that is not yet offered. They are not a contract of sale. They will be replaced before anyone can download FnScribe or pay for it.

Nothing is for sale here

The site says “Coming soon — one-time purchase.” That is a plan, not an offer. There is no checkout, no license key, and no disk image. Don’t send money. A price, a refund rule, and the Macs a license covers will be stated when a purchase exists.

The app

FnScribe is a native Mac app for Apple Silicon, in development under the name WhisperAI. It is not a Windows, Linux, or iPhone app, and Intel Macs are not supported. Local dictation is designed to work without an account. Optional cloud speech recognition and AI cleanup use an API key you get from OpenRouter, Groq, or OpenAI, on those providers’ terms — not ours.

The demos on this site

The windows on the home page are simulations. They don’t dictate through your microphone, don’t call a model, and don’t save what you type. They’re here so you can see the gesture: hold, pill, paste.

No warranty, because it isn’t shipped

The app isn’t delivered yet. Nothing on this site is a promise that a feature will ship unchanged, or that a build will be available on a given day. When a release exists, its license will say what is warranted and what isn’t. Until then, the pages are informational.

Names

FnScribe is the product name for the Mac dictation app. Apple, Mac, macOS, Apple Silicon, and Music are trademarks of Apple Inc. Spotify is a trademark of Spotify AB. OpenAI, Groq, and OpenRouter belong to their holders. FnScribe is not affiliated with them.

Law

Governing law and a company address will be stated before sale. This draft doesn’t invent them.
